The return policy of Flipkart has been for certain product categories. Products return window will be decreased to 10 days from July; it is 30 days for now.
The product category includes books, electronics, mobile phones, home & kitchen, furnishing, sports items, and toys. However, 30 days window remains same for apparels, footwear, sunglasses, watches, televisions, and jewellery.

The revised return timeline is aimed at ensuring a more seamless experience for both sellers and customers to ensure quicker arrangement of products and timely replacement. The new returns policy along with the revised structure in shipping and returns will enable sellers to improve their quality of services while offering them increased predictability.
On the other past, company is also increasing the commissions sellers have to pay, and discontinuing its Zero+ Commission Policy. This will certainly leads to increase in product prices.
Last month, Flipkart introduced ‘no cost EMI’ option, which meant online shopping to be more affordable for high-end purchases due to no additional cost on EMIs. No EMI (equated monthly installments) will have zero processing fees, zero down payments, and zero interest for customers.
Amazon India has also revised the refund policy for several product categories like laptops, tablets, cameras, – confirming that they will be eligible for replacements only, no refunds. Amazon India already has a 10-day return policy for mobiles, electronics, laptops, desktops, cameras.
